E-mail Equipping Our Kids to be Workers of the KingSunday January 24th was our Introductory Day to our new Group Sessions. We are looking to involve our children more in 2010 than in any other year in the past. We are equipping our children to work for the kingdom of God. We have several groups that the kids were able to pick which group they would like to be in. Each Group Session has it's own leaders. There are six sessions in a year and each child completing all sessions during the 9 week intervals will be able to graduate to a different title name.
1. King's Artistry with Bro. Corey: This group will be drawing, painting, making prop's for decorations and will be making art the Art Gallery Day at church at the end of the nine weeks.
2. Kindom Praise Team with Sis Misty and Sis Mahaley: This group will be learning how to work together as a team, while having fun singing for Jesus.
3. K. Kids Drama Team with Sis Hannah: This group will also be learning how to work together as a big group as well as drama, dowel rods, signs, and skits.
4. FPA (future preachers of Apostolics) with Bro Daniel and Bro Yohon: This group will learn responsiblity while keeping journals weekly. They will study the word and pray daily.
5. KKP (Kings KIds Puppeteers) with Bro Jake and Sis Niokie: This group was formed from our 11-12 year old who is no longer in children's church. Each month a different group will perform a skit for children's church. While waiting on their turn they have the same oppurtunity to join one of the other groups.
6. Prayer Team with Sis Sylvia: Training a group of five children the importance of praying. Why it is important to learn to pray. We will meet 15 min before church time in CC platform to pray for the service and the children.
Our goal this year in 2010 is that every child in children's church receive the Holy Ghost
